Does your child need help with reading and writing?
I use a ORTON-GILLINGHAM MULTISENSORY approach that is proven to be the best practice for reading and writing instruction. It is particularly effective for students with dyslexia and struggling readers. I offer one-hour, individualized sessions that move at the student’s learning pace.

Learning Pops: Reading, Writing and more
Orton-Gillingham
Utilizing the Science of Reading research-based programs such as Barton, ABC's of OG, and the Logic of English to teach reading, Mrs. Debbie encourages a love of literacy!
Composition
To teach composition The Institute for Excellence in Writing method, Easy Grammar, and The Logic of English diagramming are incorporated into sessions when needed.
Handwriting
Reseach supports teaching correct handwriting methods to help prevent learning difficulties. Mrs. Debbie reinforces mastering handwriting with the Handwriting Without Tears for manuscript and the Loops and Other Groups for cursive.
Math, Science, Homework Help
Mrs. Debbie has extensive experience tutoring students in math from kindergarten to 7th grade as well as science and homework help.
Brain Integration
If determined that brain integration exercises would benefit your child, they will be implemented during each session and assigned for home 20 minutes a day, until goals are met.
Testing
Along with informal observations, the WIAT 4 and the Mississippi Screener may be administered for more complete, standardized data.
